How to Talk to Children After Crisis

The entire Ramah Darom community is grieving following the horrible events in Pittsburgh. We pray for a refuah shelaymah for those injured, and we extend our most sincere condolences to all the families and friends who lost loved ones.

As our Ramah Darom community knows all too well, often the most difficult aspect of responding to tragedy is figuring out how to comfort and support our children. In the article “Difficult Conversations“, The Jewish Federation and PJ Library of Greater Washington offer some tips and scripts for discussing events in the news with children. In addition, The following resources have been gathered by the Foundation for Jewish Camps.
