So you’re interested in sending your child to Jewish sleepaway camp, but you’re not quite ready to go full speed ahead. No worries. There are plenty of paths to Ramah Darom that will allow you to go slow, get comfortable and have a lot of fun along the way.

Below are 3 ways for your child to dip their toe into the magic of Ramah Darom this summer, with and without you.

 1.) Taste of Ramah

A 2-week Taste of Ramah is ideal for rising 3rd-5th graders going away from home for the first time.

At Camp, we call this group Garinim (seeds). In just 2 weeks, Garinim campers have the opportunity to experience sports, arts and crafts, lake and pool fun, Judaics, a Camp Shabbat and all that Ramah Darom has to offer. They are introduced to independent living skills and get comfortable with Camp life. Once young campers have a “taste” of Ramah Darom, they are eager to come back for more. We offer 4 Taste of Ramah sessions each summer. Learn more about Taste of Ramah.

2.) Day Camp Partnerships

If 2-weeks seems too long, Ramah Darom also partners with day camps to give campers a few nights away from home with their day camp counselors and friends.

NEW: In the City Camps is now offering ITC Away at Camp!

This Atlanta program is for 3rd-5th graders. After a few days of getting to know their ITC group, campers will spend 4 nights “away” at Ramah Darom. Learn more.

MARJCC Sol Taplin J Trekkers Teen Camp

South Florida 5th-7th grade J Trekkers travel up to the North Georgia Mountains for a 6-night sleepaway camp experience at Ramah Darom. Learn more.

3.) Summer Family Camp

Grab the whole family and head to the North Georgia mountains for a 5-day Camp test drive and a meaningful and fun family vacation.

With the bonus of seeing Camp in action, Summer Family Camp is like no other family experience we offer. Surrounded by hundreds of happy campers, incredible Jewish mentors and trained staff members, you’ll see for yourself what the world of Camp is all about. Meet staff members, enjoy family time and adult-only activities, be a camper yourself and experience a Camp Ramah Darom Shabbat. Learn more about Summer Family Camp.

BONUS
