Please Note: Campers are accepted for enrollment based on a staff review of the completed application and the Camper Profile, an interview if necessary, and the availability of space within the child’s age group.
Ramah Darom is committed to ensuring that every parent has the opportunity to give their child the enriching benefits of a Jewish summer camp experience.
Your first step is to register for Camp. Once your child is registered, there are several sources that offer scholarships and financial assistance to families.
The majority of financial assistance comes from local sources. Please see our Financial Aid 1, 2, 3 for more information and for links to applications. We also encourage you to speak to your Rabbi, contact your local federation and ask community leaders about funding opportunities in your area.
For those needing additional assistance, Ramah Darom does provide limited scholarships – see #3 below. We also offer payment plans. If the Ramah Darom application fees cause your family hardship, please contact Deanne Brown to discuss options.
Your first-time camper may be eligible for a One Happy Camper grant of up to $1000!
Financial assistance and scholarships are available for Camp Ramah Darom and Ramah Israel Seminar.
Ramah Darom supports campers with neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, communication disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders and other disabilities. Learn more about the Henry and Annette Gibson Tikvah Support Program.
Peace of Mind Coverage
This year we are fortunate to be able to offer our families Peace of Mind coverage through AMSkier Insurance. This policy will enable you to recoup your lost investment for the unused, non-refundable Camp tuition if your camper cannot attend camp or must leave Camp early for reasons such as illness/injury to the camper or an immediate family member or the death of a family member, and more. “I sent my child to Camp Ramah Darom for the first time not knowing what to expect. My child had never been away from me for more than a couple of nights and he came home making his own bed, clearing his plate and brushing his own teeth — I don’t know what you did, but, THANK YOU!”
