Hi, I’m Hannah. After graduating from the University of Florida in December 2021, I spent three months exploring Europe and getting ready to spend my tenth summer at Ramah Darom! I love yoga, reading and spending time with friends, and I can’t wait to be back at Camp. I’m so excited to work with the Ta’am and Garinim aidot and I’m looking forward to our amazing summer together!

I’m Sara Silvershein and I’m very excited to be Rosh Aidah Nitzanim this summer. I’m originally from South Florida, but I have been living in New Orleans for the last four years. I just graduated from Tulane University, where I studied Public Health and Biology. I was a camper at Ramah Darom for seven years and a counselor for two years. I love working with kids and can’t wait to return to Camp this summer.

Hi, I’m Yaffa! This will be my seventh summer at Camp. To me, Ramah Darom is a place that fosters authenticity, growth and joyful Judaism, and I couldn’t be more excited to be working here this summer. Outside of Camp, I’m a senior at Penn State studying Human Development & Family Studies.

Hi, I’m Mira! I’ve loved Camp my entire life and I can’t imagine spending my summer anywhere other than Ramah Darom! When I’m not at Ramah Darom, I live in DC and work as an assistant preschool teacher at Edlavitch Jewish Community Center of Washington, DC. From Gan to camper to staff member and Rosh Aidah, I’ve spent basically every summer of my life at Camp. I’m coming back again this summer because Ramah Darom is the place that allows everyone to show up as their authentic selves.

Shalom, I’m Liana Slomka! I’ve been coming to Camp since Garinim in 2008. I was a member of Gesher ’16, and this is going to be my fifth year on tzevet. I’m studying ecology at Princeton University, and my favorite thing about Camp is getting to spend time in nature with campers. I’m so excited to spend this summer with Shoafim!

Hi, I’m Arielle. Originally from Orlando, FL, I first came to Camp in 2010 as a Sollelimer and have been on tzevet since kayitz 2018. I am a recent graduate of American University and will be heading to law school in Miami in the fall. I’m thrilled to spend my summer with aidah ha Nachshonim (some of my first campers ever!!). I love Kabbalat Shabbat, biscuit breakfasts and getting really messy during peulat erev (evening activities).

I’m Marc and I’m excited to be Rosh Aidah Nivonim! Outside of Camp, I am a rabbinic intern at Columbia/Barnard Hillel and a rising second-year student at the JTS Rabbinical School. In my previous life, I was a high-school special education teacher in Chicago. In my free time, I enjoy running, biking and hiking and I’m looking forward to a great summer!

Gesher

Ilana Gorod

Hello, I’m Ilana. I’m returning to Camp for my second summer as a Rosh Aidah. I’ve been spending my summers at Camp since my days in the Gan. I  went all the way through Gesher, attended Seminar, and then became a madricha (staff member). I currently live in Washington DC where I teach 5th Grade. I’m so excited to be Rosh Gesher this year. I love all things Camp, but mostly the grilled cheese and tomato soup!
