At Camp Yofi we felt so comfortable, so loved and supported, not judged, full of understanding and free to be who we truly are, not pretending or saying sorry all the time.
Camp Yofi is really a special and unforgettable experience for the whole family and Eli, our son on the spectrum, had a blast!!! Eli couldn’t believe he could hug literally everybody and that they all knew his name. WOW, it is so different from what we usually experience. We were amazed at how much attention everyone gave him at Yofi. He also enjoyed that he was able to eat so much yummy food. A definite highlight was the playroom inside the dining room. Eli loves to eat, but at Yofi he finished his meals as fast as he could so he could spend some time in the playroom with other campers and staff.
I am so thankful for the fantastic Yofi team and for the extraordinary they do. Camp Yofi was able to provide comfort, fun, security, attention and most important love to our Eli and we couldn’t be more grateful. For Yair and Eitan, our typical children, it was also a fantastic experience. They both felt so free and independent, surrounded by other brothers and sisters that face the same world full of challenges. They were supported by an incredible team, and it gave them that special connection and bond with new friends.
I left Yofi with so many mixed feelings. For us, my husband and me, what can I tell you? I left the final program with tears in my eyes. It is hard to go back to real life after being in a perfect world, a very balanced and supportive society. Leaving having had some time alone and sometime the whole family together couldn’t be a better feeling. In this world, we felt so comfortable, so loved and supported, not judged, full of understanding and free to be who we truly are, not pretending or saying sorry all the time. Camp Yofi creates that special place like no other.
Eli is a very sweet and special boy with a huge heart, but he is very challenging and never stops. Knowing that he was in good hands and having fun, gave us peace of mind and let us relax and enjoy our vacation too. Thank you so much for all that you do and for having the perfect team surrounding you. My words will never be enough to show you how grateful we are. It takes extraordinary people with special souls and heart to do what you and your team do. I continue to be amazed that thanks to our Eli, we have met so many incredible people along the way.
