Shavua Tov from Machaneh (Camp) Ramah Darom! We had an amazing week enthusiastically launching all of our activities!

This week, our “Taste of Ramah” campers (3rd & 4th graders) went out of Camp ton a field trip to swim at the beach on nearby Lake Burton and to pick blackberries at a neighborhood orchard. Halutzim (6th) had a camp-out where they learned how to light a fire with flint and steel, slept under the stars and cooked eggs for breakfast over an open fire. Professional coaches and artists offered specialty clinics for our older campers in Shoafim (8th), Nachshonim (9th), and Nivonim (10th). There were clinics in Glass Blowing, Songwriting, AcroYoga and Comic Sketching, and clinics in Basketball, Volleyball and Ultimate Frisbee skills taught by collegiate level coaches. Our oldest AidahGesher (11th), was out of Camp for three days this week participating in outdoor adventure experiences over the border in North Carolina and then doing community service work our local town of Clayton, GA. And on Shabbat, we welcomed Gesher 2009 for their 10-year reunion.

It has indeed been a very “Good Week.” And what better way to drive that message home than by sharing the latest episode of “Shavua Tov” – our weekly video recap produced by the Nivonim (10th) campers in our media chug (elective).

We hope you enjoy Episode 2: Learning & Growing
