Meet Rebecca Birch
Hi, I’m Becky Birch, a former camper, Gesher ’03. After participating in Ramah Israel Seminar in 2004, I returned as Tzevet (staff) at Ramah Darom for four years and was on Ramah Israel Seminar Tzevet for one year. I was very fortunate to be able to staff camp Yofi in 2007. I had been working with children for many years before this, but Camp Yofi was my first time working with children with autism. Being able to help these children and their families have a meaningful Camp experience truly helped shape my career path working with individuals with special needs.
I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia in Psychology and my Master’s in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College of Columbia University in 2011. I currently work in California as a behavioral therapist for individuals with Autism. I work closely with families in their homes as well as schools and clinics to help develop self-help, social, community, and living skills with children ages three years up to 18+ years.
I am so excited to blend my love of Ramah and my passion for individuals with special needs in my new role as Inclusion Specialist for Kayitz (summer) 2019.
