A Day at Camp

A typical day at Camp Ramah Darom is anything but typical! Activities differ based on each camper’s interests and there’s always something new to explore. Curious to know how our day breaks down? Take a look at a sample daily schedule:

Daily Schedule

7:00 AM Boker Tov! (Good Morning!) Wake up to the morning radio show run by campers on our own radio station!
7:45 AM Tefillot (Prayers) Morning prayers with the special Ramah Darom siddur created just for our campers. This service is participatory, interactive, and age-appropriate.
8:30 AM Aruchat Boker (Breakfast) M’mm…smells like pancakes!
9:30 AM Nikayon (Cleaning) Time to clean up the bunks.
10:20 AM – 11:05 AM Sports (Sports) Choose from basketball, soccer, hockey, golf, tennis, softball, archery, volleyball and more!
11:15 AM – 12:00 PM Yehadut (Judaics) Learn about Kashrut by baking brownies!
12:10PM – 12:55 PM Chugim (Electives) Choose from art, drama, newspaper, radio, karate, video, boating, guitar and more.
1:05 PM Aruchat Tzohorayim (Lunch) It’s pizza day!
2:00 PM – 2:45 PM Menucha (Rest Period) Read, relax and write letters home.
2:55 PM – 3:40 PM Schiyah (Swimming) Instructional and free. Enjoy the lake and the pool!
3:50 PM – 4:35 PM Tarbut (Culture) Learn places in camp by going on a Hebrew scavenger hunt.
4:45 PM – 5:30 PM P’eulat Tzrif (Bunk Activity) Today it’s getting ready for the play – Willie Wonka!
5:40 PM – 6:30 PM Perek Zayan (Free Time) Free time to hang out with friends.
6:30 PM Aruchat Erev/Zimriot (Dinner and Singing) A delicious dinner and awesome song session.
8:00 PM Peulat Erev (Evening Activity) By age and division. Tonight it’s a pool party!
9:15 PM – 10:00 PM Laila Tov (Good Night) Bedtime according to age.
