Imagining a Getaway

I’m feeling tired. Like, really tired.

It’s officially been four months since my family and I began living life exclusively at home—four months of working in my windowless basement, cooking every meal and cleaning up every mess. I am with my children, whom I love and adore, ALL. DAY. EVERY. DAY. I started out as their homeschool teacher and am now their summer camp counselor, combing through listicles of entertaining activity ideas that might be possible with limited supplies, space and patience. And even with all this time at home, I somehow haven’t had a chance to hang out with my spouse at all. I know we are doing our part to prevent further spread of this devastating coronavirus, but my family and I could use a change of scenery.

Does any of this sound like what you’re going through too?

I think it’s time we all got away!

Ramah Darom invites you to take a much-needed deep breath of fresh mountain air at Mishpachah B’Ramah, physically-distanced family getaways at Ramah Darom. You can choose a five-night or three-night kosher, all-inclusive Mishpachah B’Ramah experience on our breathtaking 185-acre campus, connecting with nature and enjoying the North Georgia Mountains with your family.

You and your family will stay in comfortable air-conditioned hotel accommodations and enjoy certified kosher meals and snacks prepared by our executive chef, not by you. There will be an abundance of activity options to jam-pack your day with adventure, or maybe the kids can decorate challahs for Shabbat while you curl up with a good book and don’t lift a finger. Your choice.

The number of guests will be kept to around 50 people per Getaway to help create a fun and safe environment. This also means that spots are limited, so register today before another family snags your reserved boat on the lake! Visit ramahdarom.org/getaway for more information and to sign up.

Looking forward to welcoming you this summer, from six feet away.
