Tinker Torah: A Maker Space for Jewish Teens

FEBRUARY 18-19, 2018

Judaism has so many items which are made and crafted as part of the mitzvah and experience of “Doing Jewish”. From blueprints in the Torah of Noah’s Ark, the menorah and Beit Hamikdash, to the challah, Sukkahs and kippot that we make today, there are many ways in which you can learn about Jewish rituals and objects through tinkering. Teens in 7th – 12th grade are invited to spend 2 days experimenting, crafting, building and innovating with professional Makers to learn about Jewish items and their construction.

#JewishATL Hackathon

Coming in Spring 2018

Is the Atlanta Jewish community set up to answer to the needs of millenials and future generations? Is it an attractive community to the influx of potential new Jews moving to Atlanta as part of the predicted population boom in the city? Are there ways in which innovation is being stifled in the Atlanta Jewish community because the right people are not connected to the right resources? All Jewish leaders, innovators, investors and thinkers are invited to the table as we spend an intensive 2 days working on these questions and more, to rethink and reshape the future of the Atlanta Jewish community together.
